Further information about future plans are now available. By now all paid-up Branch members should have received correspondence from the Secretary/Treasurer with details of planned meetings.
It is hoped that these meetings will be held according to Government guidelines on the Coronavirus pandemic.
The doors will open at 7.30 pm for an 8.00 pm start. We hope to see as many of you as possible there, however, we encourage everyone to maintain social distancing and obviously stay away if you’re displaying any symptoms of COVID.
We appreciate some of you may not be able to attend in person or feel sufficiently comfortable about doing so. Also, the current guidance may well change as we move into the Autumn and Winter. We will keep the format of the meetings under review, taking into account members’ feedback and official guidelines.
The Surrey Flydressers’ Guild is the Surrey Branch of The Fly Dressers’ Guild – an organisation which aims to promote fly-tying for all. There are no entry qualifications – you do not have to be an expert fly-tier. An interest in flies, fly-tying or fly-fishing is all that is required.
If you are interested in flies, fly-tying or fly-fishing – or are not sure if you might be – do come to one of our talks or tying evenings and see whether you would like to join the Surrey Flydresser’s Guild (we are a friendly bunch!). Just introduce yourself when you arrive – the first meeting is totally free and without obligation. Do not worry if you have no tools or materials, both can be provided at the fly tying lessons.
